The Barback position at Angel of the Winds Casino Resort is integral to delivering superior bar service and enhancing the overall guest experience. Starting at a wage of $16.70 per hour, this role involves supporting bartenders by maintaining bar inventory, preparing garnishes, and ensuring cleanliness and organization behind the bar. The Barback will interact directly with guests, providing attentive and friendly service while assisting bartenders with opening and closing duties. Responsibilities also include stocking beverages, glassware, and utensils efficiently, operating Point of Sale systems as needed, and communicating effectively with supervisors regarding equipment maintenance or guest concerns. This fast-paced and physically demanding role requires the ability to lift and move heavy items such as kegs, maintain stamina for long shifts that may extend to nights, weekends, and holidays, and perform repetitive tasks while standing and walking. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service skills, excellent communication abilities, and a capability to multitask and work independently within a team-oriented environment. Prior experience in a lounge or casino bar setting is preferred but not mandatory for motivated individuals willing to learn and grow. Angel of the Winds is dedicated to ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, requiring Barbacks to obtain and maintain necessary certifications including a Class B gaming license, Washington State Health Card, and Mandatory Alcohol Server Training permits. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency
• must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card)
• must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Class 12 Mixologist Permit
• ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication
• ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently
• ability to frequently carry, push and pull 40 to 60 pounds
• frequently lift and/or move 180-pound kegs
• ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
• willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
