The Barback position at Tom's Watch Bar plays a critical support role within the bar and lounge operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that all bar and lounge equipment and supplies are maintained at optimal levels throughout operating hours to facilitate seamless service to guests. The primary responsibility of the Barback is to work closely with the bartenders and the bar team to ensure that all supplies, including ice, glasses, cocktail napkins, and other necessary items, are well-stocked and readily available. Moreover, the Barback assists bartenders by monitoring the bar areas for cleanliness and replenishing supplies as needed, thereby ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow behind the bar. Other key functions of the Barback include setting up all bar areas properly before opening, maintaining the overall tidiness and orderliness of the bar and lounge space, operating glasswashing machinery, and managing the replacement and cleanliness of glassware. Regular cleaning activities such as sweeping and mopping bar areas and handling mat replacements at the end of each shift are also essential duties associated with this position.
