The Barback position at Sonesta is an integral role within the food and beverage team, supporting the efficient operation of multiple outlets such as the Jazz Playhouse, Service Bar, LeBooze, and pool area. This role is responsible for essential backstage work that ensures bartenders and servers have the materials and environment needed to deliver excellent service to guests. The Barback's duties include delivering supplies like ice and glasses, cleaning the outlets, washing glassware and ashtrays, and restocking service areas throughout the shift. Beyond these tasks, the role emphasizes delivering passionate and engaging service by recognizing guests, anticipating their needs, and following Sonesta's GUEST service model, which highlights greeting guests warmly, using eye contact and their names, anticipating needs, resolving complaints, and expressing gratitude.
