The Bar Manager role at the Atlanta History Center is a key leadership position responsible for the management and oversight of all beverage operations across the center's prestigious event venues, including weddings, museum programs, and private functions. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of superior bar service that aligns with the center's high standards for hospitality and guest experience. The Bar Manager leads a team of approximately 12 bar staff members, providing direction, training, and motivation to maintain consistent drink quality and exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach during events, supervising bar activities, managing staff schedules and breaks, and ensuring all beverage logistics such as product inventory, equipment readiness, and specialty requests are flawlessly executed.
In addition to overseeing daily beverage operations, the Bar Manager collaborates closely with sales and event operations teams to coordinate bar service details tailored to each event’s menu and specific requirements. They are responsible for the professional appearance and conduct of the bar team, maintaining cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations within all bar and storage areas. This role demands excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for fostering an inclusive and professional work environment. The pay range for this position is between $17.50 and $18.50 per hour, with the opportunity to earn additional income from events ranging between $12,000 and $15,000 annually.
