The position of Barback at Dave & Buster's plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the bar area and enhancing the overall guest experience. A Barback works closely with bartenders to keep the bar areas clean, properly stocked, and ready for service at all times. This role requires someone who can work quickly and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized environment while supporting the bartenders in delivering prompt and friendly service. A Barback also helps create a welcoming and fun atmosphere by ensuring guests have everything they need, from nonalcoholic drinks to clean table settings. This position involves a variety of physical tasks such as stocking garnishes, glassware, straws, and napkins; managing beer pars and requisition sheets; clearing trash; restocking supplies during shift changes; and assisting in bar inventories and party setups. The Barback helps uphold safety and sanitation standards, follows alcohol awareness policies, and plays an important part in maintaining cost control by adhering to portion guidelines. Additionally, Barbacks assist with maintaining organizational systems behind the scenes, supporting other team members as business needs arise, and contributing to a collaborative workplace culture that promotes high morale, productivity, and effectiveness. Compensation for this role ranges from $7.25 to $10 per hour, with hours often including days, nights, and weekends, depending on business needs.
