The role of a Banquet Host/Coordinator at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa is a part-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This role is fundamental in ensuring smooth and seamless banquet operations by coordinating guest needs and event details with the banquet team and group coordinators. The Banquet Host/Coordinator acts as the critical communication link between the banquet event order and on-site execution, guaranteeing that every function meets or exceeds quality and service expectations. This position involves working closely with group coordinators and hosts or hostesses to understand specific guest requirements, arrangements such as buffets and action stations, and ensuring all special banquet requests are met and complied with. The coordinator is responsible for reviewing and analyzing banquet event orders, welcoming guests, and maintaining a professional appearance.
