We are currently hiring for entry-level back-of-house positions, specifically Bakers and Cake Decorators, at our Irvine, CA location. The role requires weekend availability, as well as the ability to work both full-time and part-time shifts. With an hourly pay rate ranging from $20.00 to $20.50, this position offers a competitive wage coupled with opportunities for career advancement. As a Baker or Cake Decorator, you will be tasked with decorating quality baked goods consistent with 85C’s signature style while adhering to health and safety regulations. The job entails maintaining a clean and healthy work environment by following established policies and procedures throughout the day. You will be involved in various baking operations, including separating ingredients, filling pastries, and baking to perfection. Collaboration is a key part of the role, requiring you to work closely with store management and other team members to deliver outstanding service and ensure the availability of fresh products. Additionally, cross-training is a vital aspect of this position. You will gain experience not only in the bakery but across different departments including Bread, Cake, Point of Sale (POS), and Bar areas. This cross-functional training offers a varied and fulfilling work experience while improving the store’s operational efficiency. The job demands moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, continuous standing and walking, and repetitive hand motions. There may be exposure to cooler and freezer environments, so resilience to variable temperatures is necessary.
