The role of Lot Technician / Lot Porter at the Lindon, UT location is a full-time position designed for candidates who prefer physical, active work and interacting with a wide variety of vehicles. This role is not office-based; instead, it involves being on your feet, moving cars around the lot, assisting sales teams directly, and engaging with inventory from luxury and mainstream brands such as Audi, Dodge, GMC, and Mercedes-Benz. A key function of the job includes moving vehicles from the back lot to the front to assist sales efforts and ensuring all cars are properly detailed, inspected, and ready for customers.
Compensation for this position starts at an hourly wage with a typical five-day workweek, including shifts from Monday through Saturday with one weekday off (either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). The schedule aligns with store operating hours, allowing for a structured yet varied routine. This job is ideal for individuals who appreciate working outdoors in various weather conditions and are capable of handling moderate physical demands such as lifting light to medium loads and standing or walking for extended periods.
The Lot Technician / Lot Porter will handle a range of responsibilities, including assisting sales staff, performing vehicle inspections, detailing, transporting cars for fueling or between lots, inventory management, and securing vehicles overnight. The position also offers exposure to training and learning opportunities through partnerships with sales management, helping team members develop new skills and progress in their careers.
Candidates for this role should possess good organizational skills, be technologically savvy to handle key boxes and computer systems, and have strong communication skills focused on customer satisfaction. Preferably, candidates have prior experience in leadership or supervisory roles or relevant jobs such as lot attendant, car wash attendant, detailer, service porter, valet, or other driving-related functions.
