We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team and play a vital role in the kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will assist in managing the day-to-day activities within the kitchen including supervising line cooks, overseeing food production, and ensuring all culinary standards meet or exceed expectations. This position demands a balance of culinary expertise, leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a sanitary and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preparing quality meals promptly, managing inventory effectively, and leading kitchen staff to uphold Pyramid Global Hospitality’s famed standards. The role involves hands-on involvement with kitchen duties such as preparing and portioning meals according to guest specifications, ensuring proper kitchen sanitation, and managing kitchen tools and equipment safely. Additionally, the Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing kitchen opening and closing procedures, maintaining proper food storage and temperature control, and executing side duties as delegated by the Executive Chef. This position also requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality business. The ideal candidate should hold a culinary degree and possess between three to five years of progressive experience in high-volume, quality-focused hospitality environments. Exceptional cooking skills and the ability to effectively manage and inspire kitchen staff are essential. Knowledge of hotel and catering best practices, health and safety regulations, and the capacity to multitask and perform under pressure are vital attributes for this role.
