The position available is a Custodial Services role within the Facilities Maintenance Department. This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary of $40,000 plus a shift differential of $4,176, reflecting the overnight shift hours. The role reports directly to the Supervisor of Custodial Services. The custodian will primarily be responsible for cleaning and maintaining various assigned areas throughout the college. This includes floor care such as vacuuming, shampooing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing. The individual will also clean furniture, fixtures, glass surfaces, ceilings, walls, and will take care of trash collection and lavatory supply replenishment. Shift hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including a half-hour lunch break, totaling 40 hours per week. The shift timing necessitates the ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours to ensure the campus is clean and prepared for daily operations. The role also includes tasks like moving furniture and equipment when necessary and seasonal responsibilities such as shoveling, salting, or sanding outdoor walkways, stairs, and building entrances.
