The role of Customs Compliance Specialist at Crane Worldwide Logistics is critical to ensuring compliance with US customs regulations and facilitating the smooth entry and delivery of imported cargo. This position involves preparing and compiling commercial regulatory documents necessary for customs clearance, coordinating with carriers and government agencies, and managing the accurate classification and importation of goods. The specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients, responding to inquiries about shipment status and resolving issues related to customs clearance. Collaboration with Customs and other Federal agencies at the local level is a key component, ensuring all transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations. The role also entails supervising and mentoring staff to foster professional development and maintain high productivity standards. Employees in this position must remain informed about changes in customs regulations to adapt processes accordingly and help develop improved controls and services for clients.
