Metro Aviation is currently seeking a Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot (IFR/PIC) to join its Atlanta, Georgia team. This is a full-time role with a work schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, involving 12-hour shifts, with the option of workover shifts depending on program needs. The Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot (PIC) is directly responsible for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft, ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies. This critical role demands a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, and exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with customers, co-workers, management, and the communities served. The pilot is entrusted with the operational control of the aircraft, including rigorous pre-flight inspections, maintenance of aircraft cleanliness, and adherence to operational manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations. As the final authority on the operation of the aircraft, the pilot must maintain a high standard of safety while supporting the company’s mission to provide high-quality traditional aircraft operations and maintenance. Moreover, the pilot represents Metro Aviation in all community interactions and is crucial to fostering a positive work environment based on teamwork and professionalism. - Total flight time of 2000 hours
- Helicopter flight time of 1200 hours
- Pilot-in-command helicopter time of 1000 hours
- Turbine helicopter time of 500 hours
- Cross-country flight time of 500 hours
- Night flight time of 100 hours with 50 unaided
- Instrument flight time of 75 hours with 50 in flight
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods
