We are currently seeking a part-time Assistant Radiology/Receptionist to join our team at Alton Memorial Hospital. This position is designed to support the MRI technology staff and facilitate smooth patient care within the radiology department. The role requires working 24 hours per week with shifts scheduled on Monday afternoons from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Assistant Radiology/Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and nursing support duties essential to the efficient operation of the imaging department. Key responsibilities include assisting MRI technologists with patients, transporting patients safely to and from departments, and preparing examination rooms and equipment for specified exams. The role also encompasses patient registration, obtaining patient histories, managing consent forms, and maintaining the imaging library and supply inventory. Additionally, the assistant performs darkroom and film processing duties and monitors patient vitals as directed.
