The role of Assistant Manager of Transportation at San Manuel is critical for the success of the Transportation Department, playing a key part in the daily operational management and leadership of various transportation functions including Customer Bussing, Shuttle Fleet, Traffic and Event Control, and Valet operations. Reporting directly to the Manager of Transportation, this role is designed for a highly motivated, results-driven individual with exceptional organizational skills and strong leadership capabilities. The Assistant Manager is expected to implement operational plans, execute tactical initiatives, collect and analyze data, and develop training programs to drive performance and efficiency across all transportation operations.
This position involves analyzing Key Performance Indicators to assess and improve operational standards and ensuring consistency across shifts by driving shift continuity and team proficiency. The Assistant Manager supports change management initiatives and fosters an open, collaborative environment that promotes team engagement aligned with the Tribe's vision. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to handle all guest interactions with professionalism and hospitality, ensuring each guest experiences genuine care and attention.
Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, and succession planning for the transportation team. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with Department of Transportation and Public Utility Commission requirements. Work conditions may include travel to events and conferences and occasional work during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position demands physical agility to handle various tasks with some lifting and requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Bachelor's degree in business management or related field
- minimum three years of transportation or logistics experience
- valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- authorized to drive Tribe-owned or patron vehicles

- ability to sit, walk, stand for extended periods
