CMC Hotels is currently seeking an engaging and driven leader to join their team as the Assistant General Manager at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott RDU Brier Creek. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for the management and supervision of all Guest Service Representatives and will play a vital role in implementing company programs, ensuring brand compliance, and driving guest service scores to meet and exceed expectations. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to hospitality, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The role is multi-faceted, focusing on operational oversight of all guest service functions including front desk management, guest relations, and associate engagement. The successful candidate will support the General Manager and work closely with hotel associates to maintain high standards of service, operational efficiency, and adherence to company policies. Key responsibilities include continuous training and productive shift scheduling of associates, handling customer complaints professionally using effective communication models, maintaining accurate room status information, managing group requirements, working within allocated budgets, and enforcing cash handling and credit policies.
This position demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to monitor and maximize room revenue and occupancy, maintain close observation of daily house counts, and ensure employees consistently deliver attentive, courteous, and friendly service to guests and colleagues alike. The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for managing office supplies and stationery, monitoring guest service scores daily, and staying knowledgeable about hotel property events as well as local area happenings to inform guests accurately.
In addition to operational duties, the role encompasses managing the Preventative Maintenance program and ensuring all related documentation is submitted to corporate headquarters in a timely manner. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for hospitality, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and an ability to work independently. Familiarity with the Fosse operating system and Marriott practices is considered a plus. Flexibility in work hours, including willingness to work split or fill-in shifts, clean background check, and reliable transportation are essential.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years of hotel front desk supervisory experience or more than four years of hotel front desk operations experience, solid accounting and math skills, computer literacy, excellent customer service, and communication skills. An Associate's degree is the minimum educational qualification.
