This position focuses on overseeing banquet food and beverage service staff to ensure flawless execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and maintaining high standards of service quality and safety. The Banquet Supervisor plays a critical role in training servers, cashiers, and bartenders, designing buffet presentations, and ensuring all banquet equipment is clean and well-maintained. Attention to detail and creativity are essential attributes for this role, as the Banquet Supervisor must design attractive coffee break and buffet decor that enhances the guest experience. Interaction with clients is a significant part of the job, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and deliver personalized service. The position requires hands-on leadership to supervise staff diligently, maintain a safe and organized work environment, and uphold high health department standards with a minimum score of 90. This is a hands-on supervisory role demanding flexibility, as it involves working weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights. Physical stamina is necessary to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and prolonged standing and walking, all essential to ensuring smooth banquet operations. Candidates for this role should possess at least two years of banquet service experience, possess advanced oral and written communication skills, and hold a valid Indiana Pourer's Permit. A high school diploma or GED along with related experience or training, plus supervisory experience, are preferred. Computer proficiency, particularly with Excel, is also required to manage schedules, inventory, and related administrative tasks.
