The Impact Lead II, Arts position at BGCMC is a part-time role designed to directly engage youth in creative arts programming. This role is generally scheduled for up to 30 hours per week, typically between 11 am and 6 pm from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of up to 40 hours during school breaks. The position includes occasional evening and weekend responsibilities such as training sessions and youth workshops. Reporting to the Education Coordinator, the Impact Lead II, Arts is responsible for planning and implementing art lessons that include crafts, STEAM, and other educational programs aimed at developing artistic skills and creativity in youth. A key aspect of this role is serving as a positive role model and mentor, promoting a safe and encouraging environment that supports youth development.
This position requires an individual who is not only skilled in various art techniques but also capable of effectively managing the classroom environment to ensure both safety and a positive learning atmosphere. The Impact Lead II, Arts helps youth develop drawing, coloring, and painting skills and introduces them to a broad range of art genres through guest speakers, specialized instructors, and field trips. The role also involves collaboration with other program departments and contributions to strategic planning to ensure the effectiveness and accountability of youth programs at BGCMC. The compensation for this role ranges from $20.46 to $21.50 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacation, sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a pension, and 403(b) investment options.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - minimum two years experience working with youth ages 6-18 years old
 - two years of experience planning and implementing visual arts programs for youth
 - demonstrated ability in a variety of art techniques
 - demonstrated classroom management ability
 - excellent verbal and written communication skills
