The Food Service Worker plays a vital role within Aramark, supporting daily culinary operations by assisting the manager with food and meal preparation as well as maintaining records such as cash receipts and meal data. This position demands a high level of commitment to quality food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing a variety of food items according to a predefined menu, ensuring presentation and garnishing meet standards to enhance customer satisfaction and visual appeal. The role requires timely coordination with management to understand daily menus and ensure that meal temperatures and storage comply with health regulations and company policies.
Beyond food preparation, this position entails maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage and sanitation of kitchen equipment and food supplies. The worker will also contribute to the upkeep of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment through regular cleaning and sanitization, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, as well as extended periods of standing and walking are part of the job, alongside adherence to uniform policies and the use of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
