Global Medical Response (GMR) is a leading provider of emergency medical services and urgent care solutions across the United States. The role we are inviting you to join is that of a Float Pilot within the Air Evac Region. This position is essential in ensuring seamless operation and backup support for Base Line Pilots who may be absent during their scheduled shifts. Float Pilots provide critical coverage across various bases within the designated region and may also extend their support to bases outside this region as required. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Flight Operations, the Float Pilot plays a crucial role in the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. As a Float Pilot, your responsibilities will include operating company aircraft with absolute compliance to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and any applicable state and municipal laws. You will be expected to arrive rested, prepared, and informed on weather conditions and forecast changes before each shift to ensure the safety of passengers and crew alike. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in conducting preflight checks, maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the aircraft, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for immediate reporting of any major malfunction, aircraft damage, or injuries to the Operations Center. This full-time position is suited for highly skilled pilots who have accumulated extensive helicopter flight experience, including night flying and turbine hours. The position emphasizes a high standard of professionalism, critical thinking, and the ability to perform efficiently in urgent, fast-paced environments.   • Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
  • Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument rating
  • 2000 hours total flight time
  • 1500 hours helicopter time
  • 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
  • 500 hours turbine
  • 100 hours night unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
