The role of a Sweetgreen Team Member encompasses various responsibilities centered around delivering exceptional hospitality and supporting smooth restaurant operations. Team Members serve as ambassadors of Sweetgreen's mission by representing the brand's values through outstanding customer service, high-quality food preparation, and maintaining an efficient and clean workspace. Team Members are involved in multiple facets of restaurant operations including food preparation such as portioning, chopping, and mixing ingredients; line operation which entails assembling salads quickly and accurately; and direct customer interaction focused on providing a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service experience. They are expected to maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards, handle tools and equipment safely, manage inventory by restocking supplies, and coordinate effectively with other team members using clear communication to ensure safety and workflow efficiency.
This position offers flexible work hours with a minimum of 12 hours per week, and it requires physical stamina and mobility to perform tasks like lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and managing repetitive motions throughout shifts.
