Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring proper cash handling, performing administrative duties such as inventory management and ordering, and stepping in to assist on the service line when necessary. Due to the dynamic and fast-paced environment typical of university food services, this role requires both leadership and hands-on skills to meet the evolving needs of campus dining. Employees in this role must demonstrate strong knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices and have the ability to efficiently utilize various kitchen appliances and industrial equipment like ovens, slicers, mixers, and dishwashers. The position also involves preparing food according to set recipes with strict portion control to comply with nutritional guidelines and university standards. Importantly, the supervisor will also be expected to assist with special events across campuses, such as presidential luncheons and student organization gatherings, adding a layer of event support to their responsibilities.
