The role is designed for a dedicated graduate student who is passionate about global mental health research, particularly focusing on the intersection of climate-related hazards and adolescent mental health in low-resource settings.
The Student Research Assistant II will play a vital role in a pioneering research project titled Assessing Mental Health and Economic Impacts of Climate Hazards and Disasters on Adolescents in Low-Resource Settings (AMHEAL). This pilot study aims to explore how climate-related events influence the mental health and economic well-being of adolescents residing in disaster-prone, resource-limited communities in Nepal. The findings from this study are intended to provide preliminary evidence that will inform the development and testing of targeted mental health interventions for vulnerable adolescent populations affected by climate disasters.
