Currently, ASM has an excellent and immediate opening for a Janitor/Cleaner at one of its premier locations, the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex. This complex is a vibrant facility designed to host youth-oriented events and activities, requiring diligent maintenance and cleanliness to ensure a hygienic and inviting atmosphere for visitors of all ages. The role operates under the general supervision of the Operations Manager and involves maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary conditions of the facility both inside and outside. This position is currently part-time, offering flexible hours from Tuesday through Saturday. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour, dependent on experience, with an immediate start available. The Janitor/Cleaner will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex by ensuring all areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards. Key responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, foyers, office spaces, kitchens, and main activity areas, as well as managing trash removal, recycling, and restocking cleaning supplies. This role also involves periodic tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping and polishing floors, window cleaning, and dusting. Attention to detail and the ability to follow oral and written instructions are paramount to maintaining the high standards expected by both ASM and its patrons. Additionally, the Janitor/Cleaner position may involve assisting other Operations Department staff with setting up and taking down special event equipment and materials when needed. It entails maintaining a log of repair needs to be reported to the Operations Supervisor and adhering to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely. This job requires physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work under various environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and biohazards.
