The role of a Cashier at Love's is integral to the day-to-day operations within the fast-paced environment of its travel stops and convenience stores. As a cashier, you will serve as the friendly face that ensures customers receive prompt, accurate, and courteous service. The position demands attention to detail, flexibility, and a willingness to engage in various tasks beyond basic cash handling. Duties include assisting customers in finding products, answering questions about services, managing cash register transactions while adhering to all regulatory requirements, and maintaining cleanliness in designated areas including sales floors, restrooms, showers, and fuel pumps.
In addition to the core tasks, cashiers at Love's may receive cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and even leadership roles, which opens pathways for career advancement within the company. The role is designed to accommodate individuals without prior experience, as comprehensive training is provided. Team members are expected to be physically capable of moving and lifting up to 25 pounds and comfortable working in various temperature conditions.
