The Airside Experience Specialist role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of private aviation services at Signature Aviation's private aviation terminals (PAT). The specialist is tasked with safely providing requested services to general aviation aircraft, crew, and other guests in compliance with the companys policies and procedures. This position requires operating various ground service equipment, such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, ground power units, tugs, and stair trucks, while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency. The Airside Experience Specialist must be able to adapt to flexible schedules, including night shifts, holidays, and weekends, and work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions, such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. Safety is paramount as the tasks often involve working near stationary and moving aircraft, including exposure to hazards like spinning propellers and engines. In this role, the specialist collaborates closely with team members, guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to deliver exceptional guest service and meet various operational needs, which include fueling, de-icing, lavatory cleaning, ground power and potable water services, parking assistance, marshalling, wing walking, catering deliveries, and towing. The specialist is responsible for proactive preparation for arriving and departing aircraft while maintaining communication and vigilant safety monitoring. Additional responsibilities include handling luggage and cargo, providing courteous shuttle transportation for guests and their belongings, and ensuring the cleanliness and security of ramp areas. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of fuel handling protocols, including fuel quality control, receiving, inventory management, and documentation accuracy. Adherence to emergency response procedures, security protocols (physical, cyber, and data), and company standards is essential. The specialist is empowered to halt work if unsafe conditions arise and must report such concerns to appropriate management to maintain a safe and secure environment. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Ability to pass company background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, meet airport background check requirements to receive and maintain an airport security badge, and be insurable by the Company’s applicable insurance policies
• Must be legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of employment
• Excellent vision and coordination to move and/or direct aircraft and visually inspect aircraft fuel
• Ability to pass a color vision test for purposes of inspecting aviation fuel
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• In some locations a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required as dictated by local regulations and business needs
• Must be able to exercise good judgment and follow directions/directives from supervisor/management
