The Anaheim Marriott, located at 700 W. Convention Way, Anaheim, California, is part of Marriott International’s extensive network of hotels that emphasize quality service and guest satisfaction. This particular location is seeking to fill a full-time, non-management role in the Food and Beverage and Culinary department. The position works day shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm, offering a competitive pay of $27.90 per hour. This role is integral in supporting the culinary team to maintain high standards of food preparation and service under the guidance of culinary leadership.
As a key member of the kitchen staff, the successful candidate will communicate effectively with the head chef to ensure optimal service times during busy periods and promptly notify management if any product fails to meet quality specifications. Responsibilities include checking and maintaining appropriate temperatures for appliances and food items, monitoring food quantities and portion sizes, and ensuring proper plating, presentation, and decoration of dishes. The role requires setting up, cleaning, and dividing workstation areas, washing and sanitizing kitchen spaces, utensils, knives, and equipment. Ingredient preparation is a fundamental part of this position, including portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as cooking and assembling meals. Safety and company policy compliance is paramount, and the employee will engage in safety training and certification programs.
The incumbent will also play a critical role in upholding professional appearance and confidentiality, welcoming guests in alignment with company standards, and using clear, professional communication with colleagues. Collaboration is encouraged to maintain positive workplace relationships and support team objectives. Physical demands include prolonged standing, sitting, walking, stretching, lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds independently.
