We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team in the role of Assistant General Manager. This position is critical in supporting the General Manager by overseeing all facets of the beer garden operation and ensuring the highest level of guest experience is consistently delivered. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the management team and front-of-house staff to maintain a positive, efficient, and customer-centric environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within high-volume or fine-dining settings, and possess strong leadership abilities to mentor staff effectively. This role involves direct involvement in staff training, scheduling, hiring, and event management, emphasizing the importance of the Dacha Experience and the unique Gemütlichkeit, or cozy and enjoyable atmosphere, that guests expect.
The Assistant General Manager will be instrumental in cultivating positive guest relations and ensuring that every patron receives personalized and attentive service that enhances their visit. Responsibilities include training staff to uphold core competencies, assisting with private events from sales to execution, and fostering a workplace environment that encourages positivity and high performance. This position requires flexibility, as it involves working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of the business. Additionally, maintaining active ABCA manager and Department of Health food manager licenses is mandatory to comply with regulatory standards. Overall, the Assistant General Manager at Dacha Beer Garden plays a pivotal role in sustaining the establishment's reputation as a leading beer garden destination, focused on excellence in service and hospitality.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience in Food & Beverage
- at least 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry and previous experience in scheduling and staffing
- at least 2 years of management experience in a high-volume and/or fine-dining restaurant
- ability to lead and mentor a team and/or its individual members
- professional appearance and demeanor
- effective English-language written and oral communication skills
- ability to identify and assess problems and recommend appropriate courses of action
- ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively while maintaining confidentiality
- ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances up to 50 feet
