The Ticketing Manager position is a full-time, union-based role located onsite at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. This role reports directly to the Director of Ticketing and is compensated hourly at $39.13, based on the current IATSE Local 750 Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Ticketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of ticket operations for stadium concerts and special events held at this premier venue. This includes managing ticketing event builds, box office operations, financial reconciliations, and the direct supervision of staff.
In this capacity, the Ticketing Manager will act as the primary liaison between promoters, external ticketing platforms—including Ticketmaster products such as Host, TM1, and Archtics, as well as AXS, Project Admission, and Panorama—and internal stakeholders. The role ensures seamless integration across these systems, streamlines communication channels, and enhances operational efficiencies. A key aspect of the job is to maintain exceptional client service and support the venue’s overall success through careful management of ticket inventory, pricing strategies, and dynamic adjustments. The manager will also oversee event day box office functions, ensuring compliance with ticketing policies and a high-quality guest experience.
This role demands a proactive mindset with strong leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will be charged with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising part-time ticketing staff while providing ongoing coaching and performance management to uphold service standards. Collaboration is critical, working closely with various departments such as Events, Premium Services, Marketing, and Operations to support event logistics, premium seating arrangements, promotional activities, data analytics, and other stadium initiatives. The Ticketing Manager will also be called upon to serve as Manager on Duty for assigned events, resolving ticketing and customer service issues in real-time.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of two years in progressive ticketing or box office roles within entertainment or live event settings, preferably with experience in large-scale arenas or stadiums. Proficiency with ticketing platforms, particularly Ticketmaster products, is highly desirable. Financial acumen is equally important as the role requires managing complex reconciliations and settlements, tracking attendance, sales, and revenue to provide detailed post-event reports to promoters and internal teams.
Effective communication skills, organizational prowess, and the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments are essential. The Ticketing Manager must be flexible to work various hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event times.
