The position involves working an 8-hour day following the employee calendars, providing consistent and reliable coverage throughout the school year starting as soon as possible. The receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the school by serving as the first point of contact for both internal and external visitors. Under the general direction of the building or department administrator, the receptionist manages a multi-line telephone system, directs calls accurately, and coordinates communication between visitors and staff. They provide assistance, information, and referrals with courtesy, tact, and respect. Additionally, the receptionist ensures a welcoming atmosphere by greeting visitors and monitoring office activities.
