Their collaborative approach and innovation-driven strategies have made Oak View Group a preferred partner for large-scale venues seeking to elevate the guest experience and operational effectiveness. The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC), part of Oak View Group's expansive portfolio, is an iconic, award-winning facility that has undergone a $640 million renovation, refurbishing it into a state-of-the-art venue equipped to host conferences, trade shows, conventions, and meetings of all scales. The MBCC boasts 500,000 square feet of flexible exhibition space, multiple ballrooms including a magnificent Grand Ballroom, breakout rooms, outdoor terraces, and parks. The venue’s prime location places it near vibrant South Beach and its numerous cultural attractions, making it a highly sought-after location for events. The Event Set-Up Supervisor role at MBCC is an essential supervisory and hands-on leadership position responsible for managing the preparation, installation, and breakdown of all furniture and equipment needed across a variety of event spaces within the center. These spaces include meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibit halls, pre-function areas, and even exterior event spaces. Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Manager and Event Managers, this role demands a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can ensure that each room setup consistently meets client specifications, safety protocols, and visual presentation standards aligned with both convention center and hotel-style event operations. The supervisor will also handle inventory tracking, equipment maintenance, and documentation of labor and rental charges to maintain operational transparency and client billing accuracy. A significant aspect of the Event Set-Up Supervisor role is leadership and team development. This individual will foster a safe, efficient, and cooperative work environment, mentor senior staff for leadership growth, and collaborate closely with multiple departments including Housekeeping, Banquets, Audio-Visual teams, and Human Resources to ensure seamless event execution. The supervisor is expected to lead by example, at times assisting with manual labor such as lifting and moving equipment during peak event times, emphasizing a service-driven mindset and customer-first approach.
