St. James Place is now seeking a full-time Utility Aide to join its dedicated team. The role is integral to maintaining the efficient operation of the kitchen and dining services under the close supervision of the Executive Chef. This position requires a passionate and dependable individual to help maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in the kitchen and dish areas, contributing to the smooth preparation and service of food. The working hours for this position are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with weekend availability required. St. James Place also offers an attractive bonus program where new hires can earn up to $250 total, with incremental bonuses awarded after 30 and 90 days, further highlighting its commitment to employee motivation and reward.
The Utility Aide will undertake various sanitation, cleaning, and food handling duties to meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role includes breaking down and promptly washing soiled dishes, monitoring dish machine temperatures, sanitizing kitchen equipment, and assisting with food receiving duties to ensure timely and accurate stock management. The candidate must be proactive in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and assisting in food preparation activities when necessary. Physical stamina is key for this role as working conditions involve exposure to heat from kitchen appliances and temperature variations in refrigerated and freezer storage areas, along with standing for long periods and lifting heavy kitchen supplies.
