HireArt is partnering with a cutting-edge autonomous ride-hailing company to hire a Mission Control Associate. This innovative company operates in the fast-growing sector of self-driving transportation, aiming to revolutionize how people commute safely and efficiently. The organization is focused on providing on-demand ride-hailing services using a fleet of autonomous vehicles, which requires robust support and oversight from a dedicated operations command center. This role is essential for maintaining the seamless running of trips and ensuring the safety of passengers and the fleet alike.
As a Mission Control Associate, you will play a critical role in the commercial service operations, acting as the central point of coordination within the service operations command center. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor real-time trips, proactively identifying and mitigating any issues that could impact safety or service efficiency. You will manage fleet and crew allocation dynamically, ensuring the optimal deployment of resources. Additionally, you will monitor the operational design domain of vehicles, imposing temporary restrictions on areas affected by civic events, signal alerts, or emergency scenarios to maintain safety and compliance. This position demands a strong commitment to operational excellence, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking under autonomous work conditions.
The role offers multiple available shifts including weekday and weekend options with timings from early morning to late evening, providing flexibility while meeting the needs of a 24/7 operation. The position is a full-time, ongoing contract, based onsite in Foster City, California, with a focus on candidates local to the area. Success in this role requires at least one year of multi-channel customer service experience, familiarity working with ticketing systems such as Jira or ZenDesk, and proficiency with computer systems and software. Experience in logistics, fleet operations, dispatch, or basic vehicle troubleshooting is highly beneficial. The candidate should have a proactive mindset, resourcefulness, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred candidates may have experience specific to autonomous vehicles or transportation command centers, including supervisory or leadership experience. Attention to detail and a collaborative approach are critical as you work cross-functionally to ensure smooth operation within your market and support continuous process improvement.
