The City of Fresno is seeking to fill a critical role for an Airports Operations Supervisor within the Airport Operations Department based at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range between $7,102 and $8,592 per month and presents an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about airport operations and aviation safety. Reporting directly to the Airports Operations Manager, the Airports Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing complex operational duties including oversight of airport compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, inspections of the airfield, terminal, grounds, and operations, and supervising assigned staff. The supervisor plays a key role in interpreting regulations such as those outlined in Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules, and other airport policies to ensure all aspects of airport operations meet rigorous safety and security standards. The position involves detailed monitoring, inspections, and reporting of any deficiencies that require corrective action.
Candidates for this role must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Airport Management, or a closely related field, and possess at least two years of experience in airport operations with direct involvement in compliance and facility inspections at a FAR Part 139 certified airport. This role demands a high level of responsibility, regulatory knowledge, leadership capability, and good judgment in operational management. Selected candidates must successfully pass a department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance. Additionally, possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a California Driver’s License within 60 days of appointment are mandatory. - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Science, Airport Management, or a closely related field
