We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic team at Palihouse Santa Barbara. This pivotal back-of-house role involves managing daily kitchen operations with precision and efficiency while upholding the highest standards of food quality and service. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with our Corporate Executive Chef to ensure that all kitchen activities align with the meticulous standards expected by both the hotel and its esteemed restaurant. This role requires a strong leader who is passionate about culinary excellence and skilled in fostering a collaborative, motivated kitchen brigade. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and professional functioning of the kitchen environment. This includes demonstrating hands-on leadership to cultivate a team that adheres rigorously to established food preparation protocols and service standards. Your expertise will guarantee consistency and excellence in every dish prepared and served within the restaurant, promoting memorable dining experiences for our guests. Beyond culinary skills, this position demands strong organizational abilities, including inventory management, cost control, and adherence to budgetary targets. You will maintain stringent compliance with food safety, labeling, storage, and temperature control protocols, as well as OSHA and health standards. In addition, your role will extend to ensuring workplace safety by participating actively in the property Safety Committee and setting a positive example within the kitchen team.
