The role in focus is a Passenger Service Agent specialized in wheelchair assistance. This full-time position involves a blend of customer interaction, technical operations, and collaborative coordination with other airport departments. The Passenger Service Agent acts as the primary point of contact for passengers who require wheelchair assistance, ensuring their journey through the airport is as comfortable and hassle-free as possible. This includes providing a warm and helpful welcome at check-in, offering physical support during boarding and arrival processes, and resolving any issues that arise related to wheelchair services. Candidates will utilize specialized computerized systems and airline software to manage reservations, baggage, and other passenger needs efficiently. The position demands a strong customer service orientation, physical stamina, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. - Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
- Must have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and move items of 70 pounds and or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
- Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
