This job role is centered around ground handling and ramp service duties, crucial to the smooth functioning of airport operations and timely aircraft turnaround. The role requires loading, unloading, servicing, and guiding customer aircraft while ensuring the safety and security of baggage, cargo, and mail against damage, loss, or theft. Employees in this position will operate and maintain various pieces of ground equipment, including pushback tugs, lift trucks, belt loaders, and deicers, to assist in efficient aircraft servicing and cargo handling. Staff are also responsible for proper documentation and recording of baggage and freight, maintaining communication protocols, and adhering strictly to airport authority security measures, including ramp and SIDA training for airport authority identification. Successful candidates will be physically capable of handling heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks, including climbing, bending, and working in high or confined spaces. The airline values candidates who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and through radio equipment, to coordinate effectively with team members and aircrew, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to safety regulations. Additionally, local residency and in-state driver’s licensing are mandatory due to airport security and access requirements.   • must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
  • must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
  • must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
  • must be able to work in cramped or high places
  • must be able to carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
