The Kitchen Manager role at Piero's Italian Cuisine is a vital leadership position within the restaurant's culinary team. This hands-on position works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, uphold the highest standards of food quality, and cultivate a positive environment rooted in teamwork and respect. As a leader, the Kitchen Manager oversees daily kitchen production, ensuring consistency in recipe execution, portion control, and presentation standards that align with Piero's long-standing tradition of excellence. The role demands a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency, managing inventory and costs effectively, and adhering strictly to health and safety regulations mandated by Clark County and OSHA.
This role is ideal for a culinary professional with 3-5 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience, preferably within fine dining or upscale restaurant settings. The candidate should possess strong culinary knowledge, especially in Italian cuisine or classic continental styles, along with proven leadership skills to train, motivate, and develop kitchen staff. Responsibilities include scheduling shifts, conducting line checks and tastings, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate food and labor cost tracking to meet budget goals. The Kitchen Manager will also play an active role in menu planning, seasonal updates, and coordination with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service. Physical stamina and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are required for this position.
