The role of a Curbside Concierge - Airline Check-in Agent plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency at busy airport curbside locations. This position involves assisting airline passengers by managing the check-in process of luggage and issuing boarding passes while adhering to the highest standards set by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The Curbside Concierge ensures that all luggage is handled and secured properly and facilitates a smooth and stress-free experience for travelers. In addition to handling luggage and documentation, the Concierge provides vital information regarding locations, directions, and flight details to guests, maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor even in fast-paced, high-volume guest service environments.
This role demands a comprehensive understanding of Safety, Security, Dangerous Goods, and HAZMAT procedures, supported by annual training provided by both Bags and airline partners. The Concierge must be skilled in managing payments and credit card transactions while also performing duties such as weighing and tagging baggage with appropriate destination tags. Physical requirements include the ability to lift heavy luggage, manage luggage carts, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employees must maintain professional appearance standards, including uniform compliance and grooming requirements. The role typically requires standing for extended periods and operating in an environment with persistent noise from vehicles and crowds.
Successful candidates will have at least six months of face-to-face guest service experience, preferably with knowledge of the airline or travel industry, and be capable of clear and effective communication. The position requires early morning shift availability and the ability to endure outdoor environmental conditions. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and pass pre-employment criminal background checks and drug testing.
