They will operate necessary equipment such as boarding ramps, jet bridges, and air stairs, ensuring accessibility for all passengers, including those with disabilities. Ramp duties include coordinating aircraft arrivals and departures by serving as pushback drivers, marshallers, or wing-walkers, managing baggage with care, conducting aircraft deicing, and servicing planes to ready them for departure. This multifaceted role requires both strength and stamina, as workers will operate in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks like lifting and moving heavy bags. Avelo requires Airport Crewmembers to maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate varying shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
• Possess a valid US state driver’s license
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 70 pounds regularly
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Pass all pre-employment screening requirements including FBI background check and drug screening
• Obtain an airport SIDA badge
• Comfort working in various weather conditions and exposure to loud noises
• Ability to push wheelchairs up and down inclines
