As an Airport Crewmember at Avelo Airlines, you will play an essential role in delivering superior customer service and supporting ramp operations critical to the safe and timely departures of flights. This position is both customer-facing and operational, requiring flexibility, attentiveness, and a high level of teamwork to keep airport processes running smoothly. The Airport Crewmember is responsible for assisting customers throughout their airport journey, managing check-in and boarding procedures, helping with baggage claims, and supporting customers with disabilities. Additionally, you will be handling critical ramp duties such as aircraft pushback, baggage handling, deicing, aircraft servicing, and cleaning.
This role demands adaptability and the ability to work under varied weather conditions and shift schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the positive travel experiences that define Avelo's reputation. - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- possess a valid US state driver's license
- flexibility to work in a high-speed, sometimes stressful environment during a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- exposure to different environmental conditions, heights, small spaces, and loud noises such as aircraft, vehicles, and other machinery
- regularly lift, push, pull and move up to 70 pounds
- ability to push wheelchairs up and down an incline
- must pass all pre-employment screening requirements including an FBI background check and drug screening
- obtain an airport SIDA badge
