The role of Concierge within Ocean House Management is uniquely challenging and rewarding. This position demands someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, excelling at guest interaction and internal communication. Concierges serve as a vital liaison not only for guests but also for colleagues within the resort and the local community. Central to this role is creating a welcoming and informative atmosphere at the concierge desk, ensuring guests receive timely, accurate, and thoughtful assistance. Concierges must operate with patience, tact, understanding, and resourcefulness, always committed to providing answers and solutions rather than refusals. The ideal candidate does not make assumptions or promises but works diligently to find the best possible information for every guest inquiry, ensuring a seamless and positive guest experience. In addition to guest services, the concierge fosters a genuine sense of community by connecting visitors to the rich cultural and recreational offerings of the local area. This job requires exceptional multitasking abilities, managing telephones, computer systems, and engaged guests simultaneously with grace and efficiency. Ocean House Management values flexibility in its hourly staff, who must be prepared to work extended shifts and additional days based on seasonal demands. Peak seasons, especially from Memorial Day through Columbus Day, involve working weekends and holiday periods where flexibility is essential for both professional growth and earning potential.
