As a Customer Service Representative at Destination Pet’s Bow Chika Wow Town location, you will serve as a crucial liaison between pet families and the care team. Your friendly and professional demeanor will make every client feel like a VIP—very important pet-parent—and you will represent the warm, welcoming face of Destination Pet. This part-time position offers pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience, plus tips. Benefits include part-time health, mental health, and telehealth perks, reflecting the company's commitment to employee well-being. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be on your feet often, helping with tasks such as handling leashes, lifting up to 40 pounds, and maintaining a clean and inviting lobby space. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required because pets don't take days off. Your daily duties include warmly welcoming our clients and their pets, answering phone calls with a cheerful tone, guiding new customers through our services, verifying up-to-date pet vaccinations, and managing check-ins and check-outs. You will handle cash and card transactions, ensure smooth end-of-day cash drawer reconciliation, and tactfully respond to customer concerns, maintaining professionalism even when issues arise. Escorting pets safely and assisting fellow team members in a collaborative environment are also important aspects of the role. Successful candidates are those who are both people-people and pet-people, bringing strong communication skills across phone, in-person, and email interactions. Experience in customer service or retail is preferred, as is comfort with multi-line phone systems and computer software. You must remain composed under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities that keep operations running smoothly. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least one year of prior customer service experience preferred.
