The role of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager at Universal Kids Resort is designed to uphold and advance the site’s EHS processes in alignment with both local regulatory requirements and the Global EHS Model standards. This position plays a critical role in identifying, implementing, and monitoring risks related to environmental, health, and safety aspects across the resort. The EHS Manager applies extensive knowledge and expertise to develop and execute strategies, plans, and programs tailored to the specific needs and operations of the resort. Responsibilities include hazard identification, risk assessments, operations compliance, performance monitoring, and training development. The individual will engage with multiple teams and leadership layers, building trusted advisory relationships to influence workplace safety culture positively.
Supporting management and operational teams, the EHS Manager monitors adherence to policies, procedures, and legal regulations to minimize EHS risks effectively. The role requires a proactive approach in conducting inspections, evaluating controls, and addressing environmental and occupational hazards. The EHS Manager leads in incident investigations and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the management system, ensuring continuous enhancement of safety practices and environmental care.
Additionally, this position supervises an exempt team and fosters collaboration across EHS elements, including fire safety, occupational health, environmental affairs, and training. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor and influence others to drive cultural change and embed EHS principles within daily operations. The manager will also be actively involved in emergency response initiatives and maintain regulatory reporting obligations, establishing best practices that uphold the organization’s commitment to a healthy and safe workplace.

- 5+ years in Environmental, Health and Safety experience including EHS management system maintenance, risk assessment analysis, and technical hands-on operational experience
- Technical hands-on operational experience includes 3+ years competent in at least two EHS elements
- Knowledge of EHS regulatory understanding and application, standards development and implementation, inspections and audits, regulatory visits, incident response and management, incident investigation and reporting, corrective action plans, training and presentations, hazard identification and analysis, and recordkeeping
