This role is a critical part of the aviation maintenance team and involves hands-on aircraft servicing related to the F/A-18 aircraft, one of the Navy's primary tactical aircraft. The position requires individuals capable of working in varying shifts and deploying both ashore and afloat, including assignments aboard aircraft carriers. The F/A-18 Plane Captain position requires full certification according to a government-approved process, ensuring that all personnel meet stringent standards in aviation maintenance and safety. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities such as assisting pilots with aircraft maneuvering on the flight line, performing pre-flight through post-flight maintenance checks, operating ground support equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of aircraft and hangar decks.
