The role of Aircraft Security Agent and Baggage Handler at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive wage starting at $22.04 per hour as of July 1, with additional raises following after 90 days. This job combines responsibilities that are critical to both the security and baggage handling operations at the airport. As an Aircraft Security Agent, you will be responsible for guarding secured areas including entrances to aircraft, performing detailed observation, and inquiring about suspicious individuals to ensure compliance with airport security protocols. In the capacity of Baggage Handler, your duties will involve the safe and efficient handling of passenger luggage, loading and unloading baggage from conveyor belts and aircraft, and sorting luggage according to flight destinations to facilitate timely operations. Candidates for this position should be prepared for a physically demanding job that requires standing and walking for extended periods, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, bending, twisting, stooping, and responding to audible alarms in a high-noise environment.
