This position is central to flight safety, requiring the dispatcher to evaluate a broad spectrum of variables including aircraft type, route, and weather conditions to confirm regulatory compliance and optimize flight safety and efficiency. The Aircraft Dispatcher is tasked with planning flights meticulously, focusing primarily on safety, legal compliance, and schedule continuity. The role includes analyzing weather data, airport conditions, and other relevant factors in real-time to anticipate potential impacts on flight operations. Dispatchers calculate fuel requirements considering distance, aircraft specifications, weather conditions, and alternate destinations, ensuring that flights are prepared for all contingencies. They prepare detailed flight plans and issue flight releases that include critical information such as maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather reports, METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs, and PIREPs. Collaboration with the Pilot in Command (PIC) is essential, especially in emergency situations where the Aircraft Dispatcher provides vital assistance to ensure the safe resolution and completion of the flight.   • High school diploma or GED
  • FAA Dispatch Certificate issued by Department of Transportation
  • One year aircraft Dispatch/Flight Following experience under 14 CFR 121 or two years’ aircraft Dispatch/Flight Following experience under 14 CFR 135
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and TSA security threat assessment
  • Ability to work shifts accommodating a 24/7 operation with minimal supervision
