The role of Aircraft Deicer at Integrated Deicing Services is critical in the aviation safety chain. This position is part-time and seasonal, with an hourly wage of $18.00, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate the seasonal nature of the work. Aircraft Deicers are charged with the responsibility of inspecting aircraft for the presence of ice and frozen contaminants, thoroughly removing such hazards by applying deicing fluids typically composed of glycol-based solutions. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor and often harsh weather conditions. Aircraft Deicers must ensure a safe environment throughout the deicing and anti-icing procedures, strictly following all company and airline policies and procedures. Their duties include inspecting aircraft following deicing to verify the complete removal of frozen contamination, participating in pre-planning activities by checking and preparing equipment, and ensuring the proper shutdown and maintenance reporting for operational pads and related machinery. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive classroom and on-the-job training to understand all safety and operational guidelines. The role demands physical capability to handle the rigors of working outdoors in adverse weather, including standing for extended periods, climbing heights, and handling equipment safely and efficiently. The position also necessitates strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to accurately interact with team members and airline personnel, and a valid driver’s license is required. • intermediate computer skills
• must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
• must be able to verbally direct in English
• successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training
• must be able to speak and hear efficiently
• a valid driver's license is required for this position
• successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this location
