In this role, the Control Tower Operator will be tasked with a variety of crucial responsibilities. They will determine the order and timing of departures and arrivals, ensure all IFR flights adhere to designated fixes, altitudes, and clearance times, and manage the simultaneous use of runways to maximize throughput without compromising safety. The operator also monitors and evaluates the usability of communications frequencies and navigational aids, coordinates traffic movements with fellow controllers, and manages complex traffic sequencing within the tower's operational area. Additional responsibilities include studying weather reports and forecasts to assess impacts on flight operations and communicating vital weather information to pilots and relevant authorities. The operator must also be prepared to orient and assist pilots who are lost or in distress and maintain a continuous mental picture of traffic dynamics.
This position requires an individual who holds a Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate with a facility rating or has held an FAA credential with a tower rating for a minimum of six months. Furthermore, the individual must possess a current Class II Medical Certificate and comply with mandatory drug and alcohol testing as per the Department of Transportation (DOT) and FAA regulations. The role also involves occasional responsibilities such as providing on-the-job training for junior staff and performing lower-grade duties to maintain proficiency and meet operational needs.                 - Have a Control Tower Operator Certificate and current Class II Medical Certificate

 - Ability to perform duties independently under general supervision
