Specifically, the Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division specializes in delivering mission engineering and support services for aviation and ground systems, integrated air and missile defense, as well as threat and target systems. KBR’s work in these highly specialized areas ensures operational readiness and enhanced security capability for military operations worldwide. The company operates with a strong ethical framework and a commitment to innovation, reliability, and the advancement of national security. KBR’s MAGS division plays a crucial role in providing technology-driven solutions and operational support that help military units maintain tactical superiority. The Air and Missile Defense Exercise Planner position at KBR is designed to support the U.S. Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC) in developing, planning, and executing large-scale combat operations (LSCO) exercises. This role requires an experienced professional who can develop robust and dynamic exercise-related products. These products aim to equip Army Air Defense commanders, their staff, and units with the training necessary to perform effectively in operationally realistic environments that simulate live, virtual, and constructive scenarios across multiple domains, ranging from battery to theater level operations. The exercise planner will serve as the primary contractor planner and liaison for warfighter exercise (WFX) planning and execution supporting the 32nd AAMDC. Responsibilities include providing analytical support for planning, preparing, rehearsing, conducting, and assessing LSCO exercises such as table-top exercises, mission rehearsal exercises, and culminating training events. This role facilitates the integration of air and missile defense (AMD) into complex joint exercises aligned with command guidance, ensuring the AMD element is fully represented and operationally effective. The position demands the coordination of multiple stakeholders, including 32d AAMDC Action Officers and joint exercise partners, to execute the full Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), encompassing exercise design, scenario development, and scripting. The planner develops standard operating procedures, maintains oversight of training events, and provides recommendations to optimize manning, simulation integration, and the overall training environment. Additionally, the planner acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in doctrine, exercise control activities, master scenario event list (MSEL) development, and other critical aspects of exercise and training event design. Expertise in training management, joint planning processes, air battle management, and operations center activities is essential. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
