As an Admissions Coordinator at The Orchards, you will play a vital role in managing the admissions process for skilled nursing and assisted living residents. This full-time position operates Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a requirement for weekend and holiday flexibility. You will be compensated with a competitive hourly rate of $21 to $23 and benefit from a comprehensive package that includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k with employer match. In your role, you will coordinate all aspects of admissions to skilled nursing, from obtaining insurance authorizations, including Medicare eligibility, to preparing admission packets and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. This includes liaising with departments across The Orchards to facilitate smooth and timely resident transitions. You will be responsible for collecting valuables, ensuring residents understand their rights related to medical decisions and privacy, and providing crucial information about Advance Directives. For assisted living admissions, you will oversee the process and documentation prior to nursing assessments. Additionally, marketing the skilled nursing facility to prospective residents and their families is a key part of this role. You will conduct tours, answer questions to help them make informed decisions, invite prospects to lunch, and encourage placement on wait lists when appropriate. Supporting the Director of Admissions with marketing events will also be part of your responsibilities.
